Maybe you already heard about the famous racoon living in the Bahamas. She is a star on Instagram, with 639,000 followers at the moment. Pumpkin grew up with the Kemp family after they found her under a tree with a broken leg. The little racoon was only one month by then and got left by her mother. The family decided to take care of Pumpkin and now she is a part of the family.
Her best friends are the two dogs of the family, she respects them like a mother and considers herself a dog, even if she does not “always” act like it.
She is very smart and knows exactly where to find her food. When she doesn’t get what she wants, she can get really moody and loves to destroy oranges.
Pumpkin is really lucky, because in most countries one is not allowed to raise raccoons at home. In the Bahamas there are no restrictions concerning those rules. The chance for her to survive in the natural environment would have been very low, because she was an abandoned baby with an injured leg. But of course, the family does know that a racoon is a wild animal, but she seems to be quiet happy in her new family.
